Thelma C. Smith

Thelma C. Smith, age 101 years, of Delaware Township, NJ passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023.

Born in Oberlin, OH, July 12, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Hatter) Quinn.

She was formerly employed as a Nurse (LPN) before her retirement.

She was a member of the Oberlin Heritage Society and loved documenting history and conducting tours about the underground railroad. In fact, she helped save Westwood Cemetery, Oberlin, OH, where she will eventually be interred.

In addition to her parents, Thelma was predeceased by her husband, Robert Smith, who died in 1976, and several siblings.

Surviving are five children, including her son Roger Smith, whom she had lived with the past few years; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; and a sister.

Cremation services and arrangements were private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822.
