Theodore Hartley Ellis, age 77 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, in the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home, Menlo Park, NJ.
Born in sandy Creek, NY, February 21, 1937, he was the son of the late Hartley and Ruth Lanfear Ellis.
He worked for many years in sales and marketing for numerous trucking companies.
He was a United States Navy veteran.
He was a former member of the Syracuse Jaycees, Past President of the Transportation Club of New York in Syracuse, and was a former Eucharistic Minister. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Jubilee Council 3294, Flemington, NJ, Flemington Elks Lodge #1928, and the East Amwell Seniors. He was a communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-two years, Anna Marie Leotta Ellis; a son and daughter-in-law, Theodore and Francine Ellis of Laurel Dale, PA; his grandchildren, Tristan and Cameron Ellis; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Susan Ellis of East Moline, IL; a sister and brother-in law, Constance and Spencer Cowan of Eustice, FL; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 10 AM in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Entombment will be in St. Magdalen Mausoleum. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 4-8 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus Jubilee Council 3294, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ 08822 or to the Parkinson's Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
