Theodore John Lipka, age 75 years, of Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, NJ, died on Friday, July 4, 2008, at the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Hackensack, NJ, November 26, 1932, he was the son of the late Steve and Frances Zagleski Lipka. He had resided in Franklin Township since 1967.
He was a retired stationary engineer, having last been employed by Bristol-Myers Squibb, Hopewell, NJ. He also farmed his land in Franklin Township.
He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War, and a member of American Legion Post #159, Flemington, NJ.
He was a member of the United States Trotting Association and raised standard bred horses.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Solange Millon Lipka; a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and David Williams of Rockford, MI; a son, Theodore Paul Lipka and his fiance Bonnie Briggs of Bethlehem, PA; two sisters, Stella Lipka of Hackensack, NJ, and Wanda Teta of Lake Hiawatha, NJ; and five grandchildren: Lauren Williams, Jason Williams, Meagan Lipka, Kassandra Briggs, and Samantha Briggs.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Entombment will be in St. Magdalen Mausoleum. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
