Thomas E. Cesta, age 91 years, of Myerstown, PA, died Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Lebanon VA Medical Center, Lebanon, PA.
Tom was born in Flemington, NJ, September 7, 1931, son of the late Donato and Blanche Elliott Cesta and had formerly resided in Lebanon, NJ for thirty years, then in Winter Haven, FL for over five years and lastly in Myerstown for over five years.
He was retired from Exxon Corporation, where he was employed in the Payroll Department in Bayonne, NJ.
Tom was a US Army veteran of the Korean War, was a former councilman with the Lebanon Borough Council and was a former special officer with the Lebanon Borough Police Department. He was also a former member of the Lebanon Volunteer Fire Company.
He was the last of eight siblings and was pre-deceased by his sisters: Louise Cray, Grace Cesta, Mildred Tirpok, Anna Kerstner, Mary Bush and Jesse Kerstner; and his brother, Fred Cesta.
He is survived by his wife, Muriel Space Cesta; four sons, Thomas G. (Maria) Cesta of Watertown, NY, Gary M. (Hildegarde) Cesta of Rome, PA, James R. Cesta of Avon Park, FL, and Dale Edward Cesta of Matthews, NC; one daughter, Anna (Gary) Maimone of Asbury, NJ; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
There will be a private service at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
