Thomas Kirby

Thomas Kirby, age 89 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died Tuesday, March 14, 2017 in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Staten Island, NY, March 22, 1927, son of the late George and Alice Lush Kirby, he had formerly resided in Hemlock Farms, PA and Staten Island, NY.

Thomas was a United States Navy veteran serving during World War II and the Korean War. He worked many years as a sales associate for Brook Brothers in Manhattan, NY.

Thomas is pre-deceased by his wife Joan Kirby. Surviving are his two children; Alicyn Burns and her husband, Bill of Alexandria Township, NJ and Timothy Kirby and his wife, Maria of Wild Acres, PA and two grandchildren, Patrick Dauria and Jackie Kirby.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, Forest Ave, Staten Island, NY under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Clove Rd, Staten Island, NY. There will be no calling hours.
