Dr. Thomas Paul Koestler

Dr. Thomas P. Koestler passed away at his home in Frenchtown, New Jersey on December 25, 2024, after a long illness.  Dr. Koestler had a long and distinguished career in the pharmaceutical industry.  Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President of Schering-Ploughing and President of the Schering-Ploughing Research Institute.  Dr. Koestler's accomplishments include over 80 product approvals, including 30 new molecular entities.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Patricia, together they raised two children, Katie Koestler and TJ Koestler.  He is also survived by four grandchildren: Ellis, Arya, and Victorin Gubbenet and Dmitry Koestler, and also his brother Paul Koestler of Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Tom was a generous friend who traveled the world and often brought family and friends along.  He loved fine wines and good food, fishing trips, and his beloved Buffalo Bills.  He will be missed by all those fortunate to have known him.

 His spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew him, and he will be deeply missed by all.
