Hillsborough Township, NJ – Thomas L. Hanville, age 73, died Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at his home in Hillsborough Township, NJ.
Born March 28, 1942 in Summit, NJ, Tom was the son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Dooley) Hanville. He was raised in Summit and graduated from Summit High School in the Class of 1960. He was a life-long pipefitter, a proud member of the Local #475 Pipefitters Union and worked as a Pipefitter and Project Manager for the former August Arace Inc. in Elizabeth and retired from Thomas Barham Company. Tom loved loud country music, especially the late Hank Williams Sr. and Johnny Cash, and making toy boxes and other woodworking projects. He raced BMX with his son, Tom, and loved sprint car and stock car racing as a member of the pit crew for the Ken Brenn #24 Team.
Predeceased by his parents and his brother, Jack Hanville, and his sister, Barbara Paul, Tom is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carolyn (Timmann) Hanville, his daughter and wife, Cathleen and Donna, of El Cerrito, CA, his son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Tracy of Hopewell, NJ, his two grandsons, Thomas and Ian, and his sister-in-law, Vicky Hanville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 2, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 105 Summer Rd, Three Bridges, NJ 08887, officiated by the Rev. Thomas J. Serafin. Interment will follow in St. Teresa of Avila Cemetery in Summit, NJ. Calling hours will be Friday evening from 5 to 7:30 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822.
