Thomas M. Whalen

Thomas M. Whalen, age 57 years, died on Wednesday, July 14, 2004 at his residence.

Born January 30, 1947 in Plainfield, NJ to the late Edward and Margaret Bryant Whelan, he had resided in Kingwood Township since 1973, previously residing in Plainfield, NJ.

Mr. Whalen worked as a heavy machinery mechanic for PSE&G, Plainfield, NJ for twenty-eight years, retiring in 1995. He also was an avid fisherman.

Surviving are his wife of fourty years, Margaret E. Neill Whalen; four sons, Thomas M. Whalen, Jr. of New York, NY, Andrew Cowder of Bennington, VT, Patrick F. Whalen of Rocky Hill, NJ and Vincent B. Whalen of Frenchtown, NJ; a daughter, Marie Krohn of Schoharie, NY; a sister, Sally Byer of Florida; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 4 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private. Please visit www.holcombefisher.com for further information.
