Timothy James Kilinski

Timothy James Kilinski, age 18 years, of Pohatcong Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 in Williams Township, PA as the result of a motor vehicle accident.

Born in Raritan Township, NJ, October 27, 1997, he was the son of Stephen Paul and Ellen Marie Fazekas Kilinski.

He was a Senior at Phillipsburg High School where he had been a varsity member of the XC team in his Sophomore and Junior years earning a Varsity letter his Sophomore year. Tim was a member of Pohatcong Township Baseball through the 10th grade, and a member of the Alpha Colts basketball team. Tim was a Life Scout member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 54.

A communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Alpha, NJ, Tim was a former Altar Server.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Stanley and Marion Kilinski; Grandma Marion Oravetz; his uncle Mark Cifelli, and his aunt Elaine Cifelli. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his brother, Johnny Kilinski; his maternal grandparents, James and Paula Fazekas; his aunts and uncles; Lee Fazekas, Jimmy Fazekas, Katheryn Sobeck, Paul Kilinski, Sue Ann and Don Midura and Matt Cifelli; and his cousins, Lydia and Luke Kilinski, Rob and Katie Midura, Marie and Kimberly Sobeck.

As a boy scout Tim was active in community service. His Star service project benefited Flemington Fire Dept. and his Life service project benefited Merrill Creek Reservoir. He was a friend to all and would help anyone out at any time. He always spoke highly of his “Little Bro” Johnny, his best friends, Jake Hardin, Steve Mancinelli, Sam Marquier, Shane Sweazey, Tyler Stevely, Joe Vesey, Zach Ringhoff, Annie and Payton O’Leary, Karlee Reiger, all of the Alpha and Pohat boys and many more and his first love, Gabriella Lopez.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 10 AM in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 830 5th Avenue, Alpha, NJ. Interment will be private in St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Public visitation will be held on Monday, December 14, 2015 from 5-8 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. A Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boy Scout Troop 56 or Pohatcong Recreation Association, 50 Municipal Drive, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865.
