Vera Liberto

Vera Liberto, age 97 years, of Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, NJ, died Sunday, December 15, 2024, at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born on July 13, 1927, in the Bronx, NY, Vera was the daughter of the late Martin and Rose (Spinelli) Profita. She had resided in the Flemington, NJ area for over seventy years.

She had a varied employment career as a clerk and in sales, working at the Hunterdon State School, Modern Album, QuickChek, and the Dollar Store.

She was predeceased by her husband, the late Ralph Liberto, in 2002; as well as her son, the late Angelo Liberto, in 2014. 

She is survived by two sons, Matteo Liberto, of Flemington, NJ, and Ralph Liberto, of White Mills, PA; two daughters, Christine Paustian, of Holland Township, NJ, and Donna Mechanic, of Glen Burnie, MD; as well as thirteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. 

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 1:00 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ, followed by entombment with her husband in Saint Magdalen Mausoleum, North Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
