Vernon R. Hockenbury, Jr.

Vernon R. Hockenbury, Jr., age 76 years young, of Raritan Township, NJ, took his eternal journey from complex medical conditions, on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the Hunterdon Medical Center.

Born in Somerville, NJ, December 18, 1939, he was the son of the late Vernon Sr. and Mae Van Lieu Hockenbury.

Surviving are his wife of forty-two years, Eleanor Chiselko Hockenbury; five children: Donna Smithey, Patricia Carney, and husband, Denny, Jeannette Chambers, Robert Hockenbury, Sr., and Eleanor Seabolt; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Vernon was a loving husband, great Dad, wonderful friend, who was respected and loved by so many. He will be missed.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date., Interment will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
