Viola G. Spencer

Viola G. Spencer, age 85 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died Saturday, March 26, 2011 in Rolling Hills Care Center, Clinton Township, NJ.

Born in Somerville, NJ, May 31, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Mary Everitt Turner and had resided in the Lebanon area for sixty-two years.

A homemaker, she was a member of the Readington Township Seniors, enjoyed spending time with her family as well as quilting and crafting.

A loving mother and wife, she is survived by her husband Clarence F. Spencer; three daughters, Elizabeth Moore and her husband J. Forest Moore of Kernersville, NC, Mary Lou Herder of Nazareth, PA, Brenda Wickersham and her husband Francis Wickersham of King of Prussia, PA; a son-in-law, Jeff Carter of Whitehouse Station, NJ; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A daughter Judy Carter died in 2006 and she was pre-deceased by two brothers, A. Leroy Turner and Vincent Turner and a sister Elizabeth Turner Enos.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ, followed by interment in Newell Cemetery, Stanton, NJ. Calling hours will be Tuesday 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
