Violet Marie Jankowski

Violet Marie Jankowski, age 90 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at her residence.

Born in Newark, NJ, December 13, 1919, daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Banach Gwara, she had resided in Raritan Township for the past five years, having formerly lived in Clark, NJ. She was formerly a computer operator for Pallard, Rahway, NJ.

Her husband, Stanley J. Jankowski, with whom she joined hands in marriage in 1940, died in 1979. Mrs. Jankowski was also pre-deceased by a daughter, Violet Marie Jankowski in 1953 as well as five siblings, Rose Rychlicki, John Kopac, Joseph Gwara, Josephine Wiezel and Alice Gwara.

Surviving are two daughters, Diana Jonkoski of Bridgewater, NJ and Marcia Adams of Raritan Township, NJ; two grandchildren, George Jonkoski, Jr. and Diana Wojtkowski; five great grandchildren, Andrew, AmberLee and Matthew Wojtkowski and Annalina and Marlena Jonkoski; and a sister, Marie Borne of Glen Gardner, NJ.

PLEASE NOTE CHANGE DUE TO WEATHER CONDITIONS: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at at 10:30 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the church on Friday at 10:15 a.m. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.
