Virginia (Ginny Lee) Napurano, age 71 years, of Hopewell Township, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2010, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Spangler, PA, June 12, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Sidwar Salamanchuk.

She was a graduate of East Side High School, Newark, NJ, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rider University Business School, Lawrenceville, NJ. She was employed for thirty-two years at E.R. Squibb and Sons and Bristol-Myers Squibb, Princeton, NJ, retiring as the Vice-President of Human Resources.

Ginny Lee was co-founder and Operations manager of WDVR FM, a non-profit educational radio station in Delaware Township, NJ. For twenty-one years she hosted numerous on-air programs, including an educational children's program, a scientific interview show "Horizons", a traditional country show "Country Store", a big band era show "Jukebox Saturday Night" with her sister Lavina Louise, and an early morning news and views show " Tidbits and Times" with her husband. For all listeners and WDVR staff she was the embodiment and spirit of the station.

She was pre-deceased by three brothers, Nick, Mike, and George and four sisters, Lorraine McNeil, Eleanor Fetko, Ann Covairt, and Kathryn Kelly. Surviving are her husband of fifty-three years, Frank Napurano; her sisters, Lavina Louise Slawinski of Green Brook, NJ, Mary Guziejewski of Suwanee, GA, and Madeline Harris of Dunellon, FL; a brother, John, of Cattaraugus, NY; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at 2 PM in the Family Life Center, 522 Rosemont-Ringoes Road, Sergeantsville, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822.
