Virginia C. Piperato, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ, at the age of 85. Born on June 9, 1939, in Elizabeth, NJ, Virginia lived a life filled with love, family, and a deep commitment to her community.

As a dedicated homemaker, Virginia created a nurturing environment for her loved ones. She was particularly proud of her Polish heritage, which she cherished and celebrated throughout her life. Virginia was known for her passion for gardening, which brought her immense joy as she tended to her plants and enjoyed the beauty they brought to her home. She found pleasure in puzzles, cooking, and sharing time with her family and friends, all of which were foundational to her spirit.

Virginia's commitment to her family was unwavering. She absolutely adored being a mother, aunt, grandma, and great-grandma, relishing each opportunity to create memories with her loved ones. Her family includes her son Vincent Piperato; daughter Darlene Piperato and her husband, Jon; son Robert Piperato and his wife, Michele; grandchildren, Vincent Piperato and his wife, Heather, James, Nick and his wife, Rochelle, Michele, Michael, Ayla and her husband, Austin;  Paige and her husband, Brian, as well as her Great-grandchildren, Abigail, Zachary, Curtis, Silas, Norah, Desmond, Brayden and Bryson. Also surviving is one brother-in-law, Joseph Piperato, and several nieces and nephews. 

Virginia is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Piperato; her father, John Sypniewski; her mother, Josephine Witkowski; and her son, James Piperato.

Virginia was also well-known for her compassion and sense of service. For over twenty-one years, she was an active member of Rolling Thunder Inc. National and found fulfillment in volunteering for veterans. Additionally, she demonstrated her generous spirit through her donations to various causes, including Animal Rescue, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and Catholic Charities.

Virginia will be lovingly remembered by those who were fortunate enough to have known her. Her presence will be deeply missed, yet her legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to her family and community will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.

Visitation services will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main St, Flemington, NJ. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025 at 8:00 PM in the funeral home. Interment in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ, will be held privately.
