Vivian A. Oceanak

August 19, 1924 — July 8, 2023

Vivian A. Oceanak, age 98 years, of Frenchtown (Kingwood Township), NJ died peacefully on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at home.

Born on August 19, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Emilo and Lucy (Russo) Dillone. Vivian was raised in Lambertville, NJ for her first 24 years then married the late Paul Oceanak in 1948. Kingwood Township, NJ, was where she raised her family and made her house into a home; she had resided there for the last 75 years.

Vivian was always a very hard worker and took pleasure in whatever she did. She was a Kingwood Township Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary Life Member for almost 50 years. She enjoyed her grand and great-grandchildren, and she was a die-hard bingo and card player, who always enjoyed a big win! In addition, she loved to cook and was always ready to lend a helping hand.

Vivian and Paul had just one son, Paul R. Oceanak, Sr. They spent their entire life making sure he was well cared for, and they both achieved that goal. She was a very strong person in both body and mind. She will be missed terribly.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, the late Paul Oceanak, who died in 2012.

Surviving, besides her son Paul Sr., are grandson Paul R. Oceanak, Jr. and his wife Becky, and granddaughter Jaclyn M. Oceanak and Eric Emanuele; great-grandchildren, Reese and Jace Emanuele and Logan and Madi Oceanak; as well as her sisters, Gloria Burkhamer and Geraldine Foy.
