Walter Charles Kazar, Sr., age 73 years, of Edison, NJ, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019 in Robert Wood Johnson Hospital-Rahway, NJ.
Born in New Brunswick, NJ, March 14, 1946, he was the son of the late Charles and Anna Marie Wolf Kazar.
Walter was a United States Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a retired self-employed plumber.
Walter found a way of joking about many things in his life, good or bad. It helped lighten the burden of medical visits and his life in general. Walter had a GIVING soul. He always wanted to lend a hand to help his family and close friends. He will be missed by All who Loved him. Walter always had a message for everyone he spoke to, “Don’t Quit!”. These words will always be remembered and give his family the strength to carry on without him, as he now spends eternity with his Mother, Father and siblings who have passed.
His sister, Eleanor, remembers him this way: My little brother could TALK and had a mind of his own. He liked to do things His own way but was willing to try Your way too. He was always ready to help others and did many things for them. He was always busy and worked hard to support his family. He could be funny and make you laugh and was happy to visit with other members of his family. We will miss him as the little Brother who tried to help everyone!
Walter is survived by his loving son and daughters: Walter Jr, Michelle Kazar, and Christine Shamanski; his eight grandchildren: Austin & Kayla Kazar, Geoffrey & David Ballantyne, Emily, Madisyn, Preston & Jakob Shamanski. Walter Sr. was the youngest of fifteen siblings. He is survived by Eleanor Webster from New Jersey and Bob Kazar, Betty Franklin, Ernie Kazar, and Mona Thompkins from Florida.
