Walter Charles Thomas, age 90 years, of Kingwood Township, NJ, died on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at his home.
Born in Irvington, NJ, December 22, 1924, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Myrtle Kelly Thomas. He had resided in Kingwood Township for twenty years.
Mr. Thomas was a retired Special Mechanic with NJ Transit. He was also a longtime official at the Flemington Speedway.
His wife, Mary Ann Thomas, died in 2014. Surviving are four daughters, Kathleen Thomas of Frenchtown, NJ, Deborah Thomas Nejman of Frenchtown, NJ, Maryann Thomas Daw of Denville, NJ, and Annmary Thomas of Philadelphia, PA; and his four grandchildren: Kate and Sean Nejman, and Joshua and Becky Daw.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 10 AM in Our Lady of Victories Church, Route 519, Baptistown, NJ. Inurnment will be in St. Magdalen Mausoleum, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
