Walter L. Peters

Walter L. Peters, age 74 years, of Delaware Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at his home.

Born in Trenton, NJ, August 19, 1935, son of the late Jacob and Helen Bard Peters, he had resided in Delaware Township for forty-seven years.

A 1955 graduate of Flemington High School, Flemington, NJ, he was employed by A & P Stores for thirty years and then was a Custodian at Hunterdon Central Regional High School, Flemington, NJ, prior to retiring.

A former member of the New Jersey National Guard, he is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Lilah Sanford Peters; a son, Brian Peters of Ivyland, PA; a daughter, Tammie Apessos of Mechanicsville, MD; and three grandchildren, Jessica Apessos, Zachary Peters and Adria Peters.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Three Bridges Cemetery, Three Bridges, NJ.
