Walter R. Stryker, Jr.

Walter R. Stryker, Jr., age 68 years, of Delaware Township, NJ, died on Saturday, December 5, 2014, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ. Born in Somerville, NJ, son of the late Walter R. and Isabelle Chambers Stryker, Sr., he had resided in Delaware Township all his life. Walter was employed by Johanna Foods in Raritan Township, NJ, for forty-two years before retiring. A Civil War re-enactor, he was a member of Co. C, Fifth Battalion of the 44th Georgia, CSA, and also had formerly raced go-carts for twenty-seven years. Surviving are two sisters, Jeannette Carson of Plainsboro, NJ, and Wendy Stryker of Ottsville, PA. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at 11:30AM in Sand Brook Cemetery, Delaware Township, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
