Walter S. Stout, age 78 years, of Flemington Borough, NJ, died Friday, August 13, 2004 at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Trenton, NJ, December 17, 1925, he was the son of the late Walter C. and Elizabeth Rule Stout. He had formerly resided in West Amwell Townbship, NJ, having moved to Flemington thirty years ago.
He was fleet supervisor with Sears, Roebuck & Co. for forty years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of the Second English Presbyterian Church of Amwell, Mt. Airy, NJ. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-seven years, Phyllis Mount Stout; three daughters: Sharon Davy of Yorktown, IN, Karen Wiley, of Boiling Springs, PA, and Christine Lesko, of Flemington, NJ; a sister, Faith Pullen, of Whiting, NJ; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM at the Second English Presbyterian Church of Amwell, Mt. Airy, NJ. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery, Hopewell, NJ at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
