Warren Peters Cooper, age 75 years, of Delaware Township, NJ, died on Friday, November 5, 2004 at his residence.
Born in Bronxville, NY, he was the son of the late William Joseph and Lanita Peters Cooper. Mr. Cooper descended from the earliest Dutch settlers of New Amsterdam.
He was a retired principal in Ernst & Young, LLP. Mr. Cooper attended Mt. Hermon Academy and was a 1950 graduate of Yale University. He was Chief Actuary for the State of New Jersey, and worked for Cigna and the Chubb Group.
He served in the United States Navy as an officer in the Korean War.
Mr. Cooper moved to Delaware Township, NJ in 1967, and was an avid birder and amateur gourmet chef.
Mr. Cooper is survived by his domestic partner and companion of forty years, Jerald Stowell; a brother, William B. Cooper, of Canton, CT; a niece and three nephews.
Arrangements will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be Friday, November 12, 2004 at 2 PM in Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
