Wesley Vernon Aro, age 97 years, died Sunday, March 11, 2018, at his home in Abington Manor at Morgan Hill Senior Living in Easton, PA.
Born June 4, 1920, in Baltimore, MD, Wesley was a United States Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Aro went on to retire from the United States Postal Service. He lived in Maryland, and then moved to Jersey City, Manville, and for many years, in Whitehouse, NJ.
He was predeceased by his wife, Sophie, in 2016. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, David and Joan Aro of Three Bridges, NJ, his daughter and son-in-law, Esther and Kenneth Weaver of Ohio, and his seven grandchildren, Kristy, Michael, Kenneth, Timothy, Jeremy, Dennis and Sadie, as well as three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services officiated by the Rev. Pamela Reed, and burial with military honors, in Locust Grove Cemetery in Quakertown NJ, will be private and under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ. There will be no calling hours.
