Wilhelmina A. Hunter, age 95 years, of Flemington, NJ died Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at her home.
Born in Flemington, NJ, January 17, 1923, daughter of the late Ludwig and Eva Kempf Reiner, she had resided in the Flemington area all her life.
A graduate of Flemington High School, Wilhelmina was a bookkeeper with Johanna Farms, Flemington, NJ, until retiring.
Wilhelmina was an avid flower gardener and bird watcher and was a member of the Stangl-Fulper Collectors Club.
Her first husband, Matthew Schwenderman, died in 1966; her son, Douglas Schwenderman in 1999, and a grandson, Frank Schwenderman, in 2015. She was also pre-deceased by her brother, Louis Reiner.
Surviving are her husband of forty-four years, Frank Hunter; two daughters, Jill Schwenderman-Yerks of Montpelier, VT, and Marilyn McKnight of Flemington, NJ; three sons, Jack Schwenderman of Flemington NJ, Robert Schwenderman of Milford, NJ and Richard Schwenderman of Missouri; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 10:30 AM in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours. Interment will follow in St. Magdalen Cemetery.
