William A. "Bromie" O'Hare, age 92 years, of Delaware Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at his home.
Born in Flemington, NJ, July 22, 1920, he was the son of the late Abram and Annie Snyder O'Hare. He was a 1938 graduate of Flemington High School, and a lifelong resident of the Flemington area.
He was a sixty-four year member, and former Chief, of the Flemington Fire Department Hook & Ladder Company; a member of Flemington Elks Lodge #1928; and a member of the Flemington American Legion Post #159.
He was a United States Army veteran of World War II.
He was a retired auto mechanic with Taylor Chevrolet, Flemington, NJ. He worked for many years as a school crossing guard in Flemington and also was employed for many years with the Flemington Fur Company.
His wife of sixty-nine years, Edith O'Hare, died in 2011. Surviving are a daughter, Patti DeLuca, of Delaware Township, NJ; two grandchildren: Amanda Day and Tanner DeLuca; and a great-granddaughter, Skylar Day.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 2 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from Noon until 1:45 PM in the funeral home, with a Fire Department Service at 1:45 PM.
