William A. Squartino

William A. Squartino, age 80 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Thursday, October 27, 2005 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Newark, NJ, May 27, 1925, to the late Attilio and Mary Travisano Squartino, he had resided in Raritan Township the past four years, having previously lived in Summerville, SC and Succasunna, NJ.

Mr. Squartino was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II, having served as a member of the 8th Beach Battalion.

He was Manager of Data Processing at Stapling Machines Company, Rockaway, NJ for twenty-three years, retiring in 1990. Mr. Squartino was a former member of St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church, Succasunna, NJ and a member of the Data Processing Management Association.

He was an avid golfer for many years at the Flanders Valley Golf Course, Flanders, NJ.

He was predeceased by a brother, John Squartino.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-six years, Helen Adams Squartino; a son, William Squartino of Austin, TX; a son and daughter-in-law, Douglas A. and Heather Squartino of Ringoes, NJ; a daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Daniel Demasi of Larchmont, NY; two sisters, Doris Centanni of Spring Hill, FL and Florence Graziano of Lakehurst, NJ; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private.
