William "Bill" Carnevale

William Daniel Carnevale, III, age 53, died Saturday July 20, 2019 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township NJ.

Born November 8, 1965 in Newton NJ, Bill was the son of the late William Carnevale Jr. and Darlene (Cooper) Scheffmeyer of Ringoes NJ. He was raised in the Somerville NJ area and eventually moved to Hunterdon County (NJ) many years ago.

Bill worked as a bookkeeper for many years and was a Branch Manager for a bank in Somerville.

Bill had a love for singing and performing, whether it was on stage, singing karaoke with his friends, or performing in The Rocky Horror Picture Show for many years – he loved the chance to enjoy many special moments.

Bill loved to travel. He spoke fluent German and Russian and enjoyed various trips to Europe particularly Germany, England and France. Unfortunately, his dream of travelling to Australia never was realized, where he hoped that one day he would be able to visit with friends there.

His interest in reading and computers made him a frequent social media user and visitor. Bill often shared stories of his love for cats, and will be missed by his cat, Jimmy.

Bill is survived by his mother and step-father, Darlene and Wayne Scheffmeyer of Ringoes, and his brother, Christopher Scheffmeyer of Boulder CO, as well as countless special friends.

A Memorial Service celebrating Bill’s life will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ. Calling hour will be Saturday from 2:00 until the time of service at the funeral home.
