William F. Fischer

William F. Fischer, age 88 years, of Hillsborough Township, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Foothill Acres Care Center, Hillsborough, NJ. ‘ Born in Newark, NJ, April 30, 1931, he was the son of the late Wilhelm and Roesle Boehm Fischer. Mr. Fischer was a self-employed auto mechanic before retiring and served in the Air Force National Guard. He was a member of Darcy Lodge No. 37 F.&.A.M and the Flemington Elks Lodge #1928. Surviving are his wife of sixty-two years, Lydia Strecker Fischer; two daughters, Susan Fellin of Flemington, NJ, and Ruth Ticknor of Windsor, VT; a son, Eric Fischer, of Hillsborough, NJ; a sister, Louise Fischer, of Colorado; and his grandson, Brian Fellin, of San Diego, CA. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at 3 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Reaville, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 6-8 PM in the funeral home.
