William F. Fischer

William F. Fischer, age 88 years, of Hillsborough Township, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Foothill Acres Care Center, Hillsborough, NJ.

Born in Newark, NJ, April 30, 1931, he was the son of the late Wilhelm and Roesle Boehm Fischer.

Mr. Fischer was a self-employed auto mechanic before retiring and served in the Air Force National Guard.

He was a member of Darcy Lodge No. 37 F.&.A.M and the Flemington Elks Lodge #1928.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-two years, Lydia Strecker Fischer; two daughters, Susan Fellin of Flemington, NJ, and Ruth Ticknor of Windsor, VT; a son, Eric Fischer, of Hillsborough, NJ; a sister, Louise Fischer, of Colorado; and his grandson, Brian Fellin, of San Diego, CA.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at 3 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Reaville, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 6-8 PM in the funeral home.
