William George Hess

William George Hess, age 88 years, of Manchester, NJ, died on Saturday, September 19, 2009 in Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ.

Born in Oakmont, PA, November 7, 1920, son of the late Henry and Mary Isabelle Hess, he had resided in Manchester for the past twenty years, having formerly lived in Westfield, NJ.

A United States Army Veteran of World War II, Mr. Hess was a longtime Plant Manager for Walworth-Aloyco Company, Elizabeth, NJ.

He was pre-deceased by his wife, Mabel "Mickey" Hess in 2000; and three sisters, Isabelle, Dot and Margaret.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, George E. and Elena Hess of Raritan Township, NJ; a brother, Richard Hess of Ocala, FL; and three grandsons, Christopher, Michael Ryan and Michael George.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private.
