William H. Ellis Iii

William H. Ellis III, age 89 years, of Kingwood Township, NJ, died Thursday, June 16, 2016, at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Delaware Township, NJ, March 30, 1927, son of the late William H. and Grace Ward Ellis, he had resided all his life in Hunterdon County.

Bill was a retired carpenter and was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories Church, Baptistown, NJ. He was also a United States Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.

His wife. Angela Coppola Ellis, died in 2001.

Surviving are two daughters, Ann Matthews of East Amwell Township, NJ, and Susan Ellis of Kingwood Township, NJ; a sister, Irene Chipps of Gettysburg, PA.; a brother, Gilbert Ellis of Florida; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Victories Church, Baptistown, NJ, followed by interment in St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
