William J. "Bill" Pyatt, 80, of Flemington, NJ, passed away on July 2, 2013, at Morris Hall in Lawrenceville, NJ.

Born in Delaware Township, NJ, Bill lived in the Flemington area his entire life.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Flemington American Legion Post #159 and Flemington VFW Post #7856 in Flemington.

Bill was a former employee of Delaware Valley Farmers Co-op, in Flemington, and after retirement was employed by Flemington Car & Truck Country dealerships for several years.

Bill enjoyed hunting with his brother, Harold and was one of the original members of the Croton Rod & Gun Club. He also enjoyed playing softball and was an all-star pitcher for several years in the Hunterdon County Fast Pitch Softball League.

Bill was a loyal NY Yankee and NY Giants fan.

Son of the late George and Annie Marsh Pyatt, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Pyatt, brothers, George and James Pyatt and sisters, Helen Ferguson and Elsie Eisele.

Surviving are a son, William Pyatt and his wife, Patricia, of Ewing Township, NJ; a grandson, Bryan and his wife, Krystal, of Phillipsburg, NJ; a sister, Mary Villani of Annandale, NJ; two brothers, Harold Pyatt of Delaware Township, NJ, and Eugene Pyatt of Annandale, NJ, and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to caregiver and friend, Irene Atsyoribo.

Calling hours will be Thursday, July 4, 2013, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private in Union Cemetery, Ringoes, NJ.
