William J. Costello

William J. Costello, age 79 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, July 19, 2005, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in New York City, NY, February 9, 1926, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna Burke Costello.

He had formerly resided in Whitehouse, NJ, Westfield, NJ, and Hillsborough, NJ.

He was United States Navy veteran of World War II, and a United States Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was a retired nursing assistant at the Lyons VA Hospital, Lyons, NJ, and was formerly a truck driver for several years.

His wife, Mildred Martin Costello, died in 1997. Surviving are a cousin, Mae (Pat) Ewankov of Somerville, NJ, and his companion, Geraldine Zyck, of Raritan Township, NJ.

Arrangements and interment will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
