William Melnick

William Melnick, age 82 years, of Kingwood Township, NJ, died on Saturday, June 2, 2007, in the Country Arch Care Center, Union Township, Hunterdon County, NJ.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ, he was the son of the late Demetri and Anna Furka Melnick. He had previously resided in Bricktown, NJ, and Flemington, NJ.

He was a United States Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Flemington American Legion Post #159.

He was retired from Elizabethtown Water Company, Bound Brook, NJ.

His wife, Lillian Delunas Melnick, died in 1987. Surviving are three daughters, Susan Koester of Kingwood Township, NJ, Diane Hall of Flemington, NJ, and Janine Weissmann of Batavia, OH; a sister, Rose Winarchick of Allentown, PA; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services and interment will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
