William Robert Reading, Sr.

William Robert Reading, Sr., age 91 years, of Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, NJ, died on Thursday, September 7, 2017 in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Flemington, NJ, January 12, 1926, he was the son of the late Harry and Ruth Bacorn Reading.

Mr. Reading was an installer with Suburban Propane, retiring with over forty years of service.

A United States Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Quakertown Methodist Church, Quakertown, NJ. Mr. Reading helped put an addition on the church many years ago.

He was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor Reper Reading, in 2003; a daughter, Susan Cramer, and a brother, Harry. Surviving are two sons, William, Jr. of The Villages, FL, and Thomas L. of Bethlehem, PA; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 2 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private in Cherryville Cemetery, Cherryville, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from Noon -2 PM in the funeral home.
