William Z. Griffin, age 85 years, of Lebanon, PA, died on Saturday, March 27, 2010, in Penn State-Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA.
Born in Tobaccoville, NC, May 5, 1924, son of the late Joseph and Annie Ziglar Griffin, he had formerly resided in Hunterdon County from l960-2000 and had then resided in Bradenton, FL, before moving to Lebanon, PA in 2005.
Mr. Griffin was a retired, self-employed tool and dye maker. A United States Navy Veteran of World War II, he traveled extensively throughout the United States and was a member of Host Lodge #4, F. & A.M., High Bridge, NJ.
His first wife, Mary Griffin, died in 1996 and a son, Charles Griffin, died in 2004.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Fleming Griffin; two sons and a daughter-in-law, William Griffin of Bradenton, FL and John and Lori Griffin of Bethlehem, PA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Douglas Rappel of Alpha, NJ and Brenda Griffin Sari and John Sari of Greenbrook, NJ; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Kunegunda Cemetery, McAdoo, PA, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Please visit www.holcombefisher.com for further information or to send condolences.
