Zigmond P. Emery, age 86 years, of Levittown, PA, died on Friday, March 12, 2010 at his home.
Born in Flemington, NJ, September 8, 1923, son of the late Zigmond and Theresa Emery, he had lived in the Levittown area for the past fifty-eight years.
A 1941 graduate of Flemington High School, Flemington, NJ, Mr. Emery was a United States Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
He was formerly a Construction Manager for Levitt and Sons, Levittown, PA, then worked for Hovnanian in the same capacity. A standout baseball player, Mr. Emery played minor league baseball with the Philadelphia Phillies farm system. Additionally, he was formerly the Athletic Director at the Hun School, Princeton, NJ.
A daughter, Suzanne Mattingly, died in 2005.
Surviving are his wife of sixty-five years, Beatrice Turner Emery; a daughter, Teresa Kleinguenther of Sellersville, PA; and four grandchildren, Michael, Robin, Erin and Ian.
Graveside Services will take place on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Magdalen Cemetery, North Main Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
